It’s the final week and master piece time! Let’s see if I’ve learnt as much as I’ve had fun!
Last week our home work was to practice practice practice but also to think about what we’d do for our major piece. We could do anything! Ideally showing the skills we’d learnt of course.
During the week I was listening to 9th Wonder’s The Wonder Years album (which is almost always on high rotation) and the ‘Peanut Butter & Jelly’ track came on and it reminded me of my girlfriend, who’d coincidentally bought me the Sign Painting course. So to say thanks for the great present and experience I thought I’d paint “Peanut Butter and Jelly – So Much Better with You”. Check it out below!
Quick warm up on paper to loosen up and make sure the coffee has kicked in.
Practice run on acrylic with enamel. A totally different feeling compared to paper.
The beginning of my final piece! Tape definitely helps to get those clean straight lines, the challenge is keeping my hand steady with curved and diagonal lines.
Adrian, mastering freestyle as only he can do.
Love this angle, as it still shows the brush strokes before they dry and even out. One more word to go…
Super stoked with the final piece!
